Dont worry fake Stone emperor you will get your just desserts, unless the studio changed things and Shi Hao doesnt become the Stone Emperor

Anyway tired of my posting updates? lol well sadly I have another one
Just happen to come across some news, Doupo Cangqiong and Wudong Qiankun's "sequel" Da Zhu Zai (The Great Ruler) is coming soon, said to be releasing on the 14 October 2022. It is being developed by the same studio as Doupo Cangqiong, Magic Motion.

Da Zhu Zai is where both main characters from Doupo Cangqiong and Wudong Qiankun goes to after leaving their respective worlds, although the novel will have a new main character, Xiao Yan and Lin Dong are very minor characters, their daughters will appear more than them and no, their daughters will not be part of the new main character's harem lol

For those interested, there is a 2d donghua already out, the upcoming one is going to be a 3D, whether this is going to be a sequel (season 2) to that 2d donghua or a season 1 reboot I am not sure, someone might be able to let us know, been busy so I havent had to time to go look for more information

Anyway this is all from me for now, enjoy your viewing of Wanmei Shijie

Actually I much prefer this adaptation than the novel version. I always thought it was way too easy for the 19th Prince to concede the throne to Shi Hao, although he’s actually not a bad prince to begin with and he definitely didn’t want to be the emperor (in the novel) but I find this version more realistic. As a renowned prince of his generation, how would he go without a fight. He knows the 3 sects’ motives but he still risks his country; either being too selfish to let go off the throne or being too confident of himself.

This no doubt, further justifies the decision of the previous emperor to elect Shi Hao as his successor because he doesn’t give in so easily. He goes against every norm and custom but deep down, he’s upright and protective of the people he cares for, and that includes the defenceless people in his country.

Now I’m just curious how he’s going to get himself out of that predicament. I seriously hope he does that by his own strength and not being rescued by someone else.

mhm Shi Hao didnt want to be emperor, and the prince was suitable to be emperor but unfortunately he wasnt strong enough to fend off the other factions, the studio does a good job of adapting this part, I hope it continues lol There's not a lot of princes in Chinese history that will go and find out who is to be the next emperor and step aside for someone else to take over the throne lol

Will be interesting to see what the studio does, will he escape on his own? Will he be rescued by Yue Chan? :) We'll have to wait and see lol

From the looks of things, it’s quite unlikely that Shi Hao could break himself free unless his supreme bone suddenly powers him up. My money is on the young emperor himself setting Shi Hao free. Wait, we still have the Willow Deity and Little Pagoda!

Yue Chan is too ruthless and cold, I don’t want to see her suddenly changing side helping Shi Hao. The current situation would perfectly warrant Shi Hao in taking her as his maid. He was right to make her serve tea! She’s one undeserving waifu!

“There's not a lot of princes in Chinese history that will go and find out who is to be the next emperor and a tep aside for someone else to take over the throne lol”
Precisely my thoughts!

That’s why I found it unrealistic that in the novel, the 19th prince so easily let Shi Hao into the formation knowing full well that it’s an emperor’s succession formation. What’s worse, he naively cooperates with the three sects just because he is in love with Yue Chan and wants to get in her good book. That’s just forced and contrived writing.

lol Chen Dong likes to fluff things and also leaves things unexplained sometimes which is why sometime times I can see the novel is like a Swiss cheese but I am glad for the changes the studio has made lol although the studio does skip or cut out some things leaving the donghua a little disjointed, sometimes I am left wondering what happened did we skip a scene or two lol

My guess is that the scriptwriter just picks and leaves parts of the novel without reading the novel before. Chen Dong is one of the few webnovelists that are more accessible to their fans and readers and often takes in feedback and you have Fanren's director who is an avid fan of the novel and author lol

Btw, I’m curious how did you manage to watch Tencent’s donghuas without location restrictions? From our correspondences, I gather you’re most likely not living in China so how are you not affected?

I used to watch programmes like Soul Land without any problem and they started to get greedy, restricted my view thus forcing me to subscribe to WeTV which is twice the price but half the fun. To be precise, it has a meagre selections of programmes.

My VPN provider told me China has shut down all foreign VPN servers based in China and they can no longer gain access into China. I’m just curious what other way is there. Appreciate your advice.

Dase • 1 year ago

I used to use a Hong Kong based VPN to access Tencent streaming, but not much tv drama series on Tencent, so I unsubscribed (my sub was mainly for my mum), I can still access Tencent, Youku and iQiYi streaming just not the latest ones, but I can still read comments and view trailers

I’m curious, do give me the link. Hopefully you won’t be treated as a spammer.

The reason I watch from Tencent is really for the broadcast speed and of course the picture quality. I do have an app or more like a browser that generates English subs as long as those sites have the default Chinese subs. At times, I’m just lazy and I’d watch it without and later rewatch that on gogo again. But more importantly I’m hoping to relearn Chinese. I did a year of Chinese at Uni eons ago but sadly my language retention is abysmal. Blame it all on Google Translate. LOL!! 😉 It’s both the best and the worst tool for language learners!

lol never too late to start again or you can marry a Chinese wife :P who can sit next to you and translate now that will be the best and worst tool :P Maybe not tool, feminists is going to have a go at me now lol

Thanks! Got it! Yes, I’m only into donghuas (and some animes). I gave up on Chinese dramas.

When you are looking at a series, just below the summary and before the episodes buttons that you click to go into it, there is a tab in between. If there is more than one tab, make sure you click the right hand side one usually the one with the Chinese two character or three, this ensures you will have the entire season or the latest season

Dase I need to know is Shi Hao going to make a full comeback to these arrogant pricks, also babe girl just cold heart'd what her fate will be decided in this.

Dase • 1 year ago

lol they will get what the deserve soon, dont worry

Once Shi Hao becomes emperor he will destroy all that opposes him, he will give the princes a chance to repent and turn over a new leaf, out of respect and gratefulness to the previous Stone emperor, but he will kill a few of those that dont listen.
Yue Chan, or rather Qing Yi, becomes Shi Hao's maid and then concubine, when his mother forces her to marry him lol

Edited: autocorrected made instead of maid, like omg lol

By the way this is nothing compared with what will happen when he goes to the higher realms, but he will always come on top of things lol

Btw, I had a hell of a time surfing the PW Supertopic on Weibo, reading all the fans comments on this episode. Apparently the plot twist with Shi Hao being imprisoned caused a ruckus among the hardcore novel fans, smh. 😆
I understand where they are coming from but at the same time I’m so amused by how different the reactions are between the Chinese novel fans and those at Wuxiaworld. Majority of the comments at Wuxiaworld share our opinions that the novel is full of fluffs and they hate YueChan and her bunch of hypocrites allies.
But on Weibo, all they want is to have the donghua follows the novel to a T. Their arguments were about how YueChan was painted in a bad light and how dare the production team made her bow to the illegitimate emperor as a fairy from the upper realm.🤦‍♂️
Of course they also moped about how Shi Hao has lost his “face” and status because he would never bow to anyone. **Soulpalm!! I don’t see how saving someone’s life is seen as being shameful and embarrassing. Most of all, being humble is not weak and SH does acknowledge the strength of others especially when they are superior to him. A true leader knows when to follow and when to lead.
There are also some fans who speculated that the whole prison drama could be a dreamscape judging from the preview for the next episode. It could be part of the assessment from the old emperor to test SH’s endurance and steadfastness. Come to think about it, it’s entirely possible because in the preview, SH was back at the courtyard with the golden dragon with the same spectators (like the 16th Princess, etc) looking on. What do you think of that possibility? 🤔

Dase • 1 year ago

lol Yue Chan wasnt even the best waifu, I guess her fans like her coldheartedness and just her visual character model, she was the first wife to be shown without the need for a grown up model like Ling'er or Yun Xi, the fans also forget that Shi Hao never did care about his reputation "I love to drink beast milk" he only cares about getting things done like when he was with Yun Xi's clan, he knew they wanted to use him, marry him off to one of their proteges, obtain his secret techniques, yet he shamelessly too advantage of her clan to get as much from them as possible lol and he was captured and inducted to a two man sect which is the most shameless sect in the realm lol

Anything is possible now that the studio made such a change lol

SaythatshitonemoretimeMF • 1 year ago

Was wondering why MC still struggle a lot with his opponents? I mean he did recover his Supreme bone or at least part of it, so he should be OP af!
I'm thinking now this supreme bone ain't nothing but overhype; hope I'm proven wrong this time.

Dase • 1 year ago

In this episode the studio made a big change from the novel so I dont even know how will I be able to explain it lol

He is OP, in the novel he often overcomes all obstacles, he doesnt shy from any fights and takes on people that are much more powerful than him, there are occasions where he is defeated and runs away to save but for the most part he defeats pretty much everyone he comes across. There is one instance from the novel in which he was imprisoned against his will, apart from that most of the time even when he is imprisoned it will be on his term.

The supreme bone is just beginning to heal and it cant be compared with a fully healed supreme bone, and dont forget he mainly relied on his own strength, the supreme bone is just a bonus, and he never had it while growing up so his "spurt" growth in strength didnt come from the bone, if it was since he was a baby then he would have been much more powerful than now.
Again the studio made some changes, even though it is small it does affect the entire plot, so we'll have to see what happens

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Supreme Bone is only strong in early to mid stages. Later on, the spells that Shi Hao obtained quickly surpassed his Supreme Bone.

You also need to take into factor that Shi Hao has lived all his life without Supreme Bone and never had much chance to experiment and master it

Dase • 1 year ago

Yeah, like I wrote, he didnt have it when he was a child, and even when it was starting to recover, the didnt make full use of it, and at the end he pretty much didnt need it since 1. He gave it to his brother before he was "dying" and 2. He manages to "become" a supreme bone himself, absorbing the abilities like time and space

He always like to do things his own way and to gain strength though his own efforts

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

He never had much time to learn how to use it effectively and by the time he regains it, he pretty much grew out of the stage where it had biggest advantage. Supreme Bones are not like Double Pupils that never really become obsolete.

Rationalist • 1 year ago

Do we get closure for Xiao Yan and Lin Dong?

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Things have changed from the novel, therefore the following does not come under spoilers.
Based on the preview, it is likely that losing his powers is just the real Stone Emperor's test for Shi Hao. He will come back stronger than ever, evident from the fact that he was able to overpower one of the two dickheads who can hold their grounds against him this episode.

Shi Chong remains the same reluctant Emperor who wants to do good but lacks the power to control the three Sects. Heavens Mending Sect is literally a Sect with over inflated ego, what do you mean Bu Tian Teachings? All of you reading are inferior dogs who must absolutely bow down and worship your Lord and Savior the Heavens Mending Sect because it saved the whole Universe? Then you get two more Sects with similar amount of ego?

SaythatshitonemoretimeMF • 1 year ago

Would you happen to know the long term plot progression here? I think it is leading up to an eventual reunion with his family since we haven't got that yet. Would that be correct? And it's been kinda choppy to me so having a little trouble following along, from fight with the double pupil dude then the chaos disk dude then the calamity and now this stone emperor dilemma.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Immediately next plot is the people from higher realms (Hyperverse) don't want the lower realm people to get too strong. So the calamity is actually the Higher Realm people coming down to either capture potential threats to their authority or kill'em all!

Amidst the chaos, the Three Sects are taking advantage of the Stone Emperor going missing and putting a puppet Emperor on the throne to exploit. If the subs is a little better, it would've been easier to understand.

ArchAngel • 1 year ago

Pretty much what I had imagine it was.

Bruh definitely notice where the big budget money going into lol, but man that was some big reveal to a greater conspiracy. I hope all them get there very well karma justice desserts from my dawg Shi Hao.
